About Iris Raiz

Born in Lisbon (Portugal), has studied Visual Arts and graduate in Cinema (from ULHT). She  has explored different painting techniques, till she developed her own language (a fusion of styles, blending abstract and figurative surrealim on canvas).

​

References to Esoteric symbolism and Feng Shui ideology define the transversal line marking most recent artworks. She enjoy to approach the energy expression on her paintings.

 

Through archetypes embodiment, as well as mystical and esoteric elements, each canvas is conceived to play more than an ornamental role. The major purpose is to create an art piece that may aswell be feature as a good energetic amulet to improve people´s lives.

Iris Raiz is specialized in acrylic mixed other materials on canvas. As part  of the narrative Glitter and Silver foil are often applied on compositions, forming a shining effect, that  invites the spectator to move around the canvas and get a more dynamic perception.
